For for Craig and Thea Walker and family on the passing of Helen, Craig's mother, on August 1st, Bob Hodges (declining health), Evie Anderson's Mom (recovering from a fall), Vern and Marti Johnson and family on the passing of their daughter, Denise, on July 28th, Vonnie Lindgren (following hip surgery), Marilyn Austin (hip surgery, mother of Marsha Stanton), Harriet Pavidis (recovering from pneumonia), Pat Pearce (recovering from illness), Molly Isle (following surgery for a brain tumor), Joe Ryan (cancer treatments), John Merchant (recovering from hip replacement surgery), Jaime (Judy Rogers' daughter, experiencing spiritual warfare), Lorraine Porter (heart), LaRae Boone (cancer), Lamar Wall (declining health), and Ginney Elmgreen (who is undergoing treatments). Prayer for essential workers and for strength. Prayer that during this difficult season, God would use us to draw new believers to a life of following Jesus.

Nominations for Church Leadership Positions
The open positions needed for Elder are: Children/Family Ministry, Membership, Mission Affinity and Worship. Deacon positions needed are: Memorial Receptions, Health, College Ministry and Home Communion. Please give prayerful consideration for someone you may wish to nominate (it can be yourself). Please be sure to ask a person you wish to nominate to be sure they are willing. More information will be forthcoming.

Local Missions - Rising TIDE After-school Program
Rising TIDE After-School program needs school supplies! Help support Covenant Presbyterian and this 200 kid program! Please put a few items in your shopping cart or use Amazon while shopping this month. Ginney Elmgreen will be in the church parking lot every Monday during August, 10-10:30am, to collect your donations. All supplies needed except backpacks (Long Beach schools are only on-line this year).

Parking Lot Water Fight
Join us Sunday, August 16th at 12pm for a Water Gun Fight. Please plan to bring your own water gun and wear clothing you do not mind getting wet. I have little pools set up on the outside of the parking lot for you to fill up! Parents are encouraged to participate!
